New Strategic Skills Live Training Database
Public health professionals are being asked to solve increasingly complex challenges—often with limited time, funding, and capacity. Many enter the field from a wide range of professional backgrounds and are developing new skills while navigating demanding roles. We’re excited to share a new resource that makes it easier to find and access trainings that build confidence and competence in essential public health skills.
The Strategic Skills Live Training Database is a free, curated resource that brings together live trainings from across the Public Health Training Center Network and their community‑based training partners.
The database highlights interactive learning opportunities that build critical Strategic Skills, including effective communication, data‑based decision‑making, resource management, systems and strategic thinking, community engagement, cross‑sector partnerships, change management, and policy engagement. Trainings are available for professionals at all career stages, from frontline staff to executive leadership.
By focusing exclusively on synchronous trainings, this database supports engagement, peer learning, and real‑time connection—helping the public health workforce learn together and apply skills in practice.
